What is the Tim Willis Fundraiser?
Tim Willis was destined for a career in the culinary arts. He started young, enrolling in a vocational high school for culinary training outside of Philadelphia. There, he had the opportunity to work with renowned chef George Perrier at Le Bec Fin. Later, Tim landed an internship at Jasper White's Summer Shack during its opening at the Mohegan Sun Resort & Casino, where he quickly demonstrated his mastery of every station. After graduating, he was promoted to Sous Chef.
Over the years, Tim and Jasper worked closely at the Summer Shack Cambridge location. Tim's culinary talents eventually earned him the Executive Chef role before being appointed Culinary Director of the Lyons Group. Tim was a passionate and skilled chef and a devoted father, family man, and friend. His kindness and humanity endeared him to all who worked with and for him.
What is "An Amazing Night for Maizy"?
"An Amazing Night for Maizy" was created to honor the legacy of Chef Tim Willis, who passed away unexpectedly in 2019, leaving behind his 9-year-old daughter and wife. Throughout his career, Chef Willis touched many lives in the culinary community and always gave with an open heart. This event is an opportunity for the community to come together and give back by raising funds to support Maizy's college education.
